Why doesn't America fix its education system?

America's education system is in desperate need of reform. Despite all the money spent on education each year, the country's students are still lagging behind their peers in other countries. The current system is too focused on standardized testing, which does not give students the skills they need to succeed in the real world. To fix the problem, America must invest in teachers and school resources, provide students with more individualized learning opportunities, and create more career pathways to ensure students are prepared for the future. It may take time, but with the right focus and investment, America can have an education system that produces successful, well-prepared students.
